*** See link below for a full transcript of the presentation ***

Tranzmission is dedicated to making the lives of Transgender, Gender Variant, Non-Binary, and GenderQueer individuals healthier, happier, and safer through education, advocacy, and support.

We do actually have a website! It is: www.tranzmission.org. You can make donations right on the website if you'd like. There is also a Facebook page- please "friend" us!

As far as supplies are concerned we always need:

clear packing tape
sharpies
postage stamps
envelopes
soft-cover books (see note below)
money for postage (tax deductible!)

You may give these materials to me at fellowship and I will bring them to Asheville when I go visit, or if you prefer you may mail these materials to:
Tranzmission Prison Project
P.O. Box 1874
Asheville, NC, 28802

If anyone is in Asheville on a Wednesday evening, feel free to drop by and help package books for a while! See the website for instructions or ask me.
--------------------------------------------------------

A note about books-
Absolutely *Any and All* books in any condition are welcome but the most popular are:

Dictionaries- by far the most requested item

"Escapist" fiction/ "beach reads"- the second most popular. Any story that can "transport" you to another place, science fiction, fantasy, even many classic works!

Anything LGBTQ related is amazing, we absolutely can't get enough of these books for people.

Spanish-English dictionaries- lots of cell mates don't speak the same language as each other and this can really help.

Black History- an exceedingly popular topic

We also get a lot of requests for: crossword puzzles, self-help books, history books, romance/erotic novels, national geographic magazine, and westerns.

Anything and Everything will be mailed to someone and absolutely appreciated.
