For those wanting to attend in-person services (pre-registration required for in-person Sunday Service attendance only), childcare and Children's RE is restarting April 10th in the Playhouse. We are so excited to welcome back our youngest UU members and friends!
We are still offering attendance via Zoom. Check the Boonitarian for links to attend virtually. As of mid-March, we've begun hybrid services that are taking place both in-person and online through Zoom.
Interested in attending at the Sanctuary? We request that attendees be willing to wear a mask and have their vaccinations, for the time being. In-person attendance is limited and requires pre-registration. Links to sign up for in-person attendance are in the weekly Boonitarian newsletter. Find current and past issues of the Boonitarian in our archive and sign up to receive it in your inbox if you don't already receive it. Find recordings of previous services (when available) here. Hope to see you soon! Please join us for an informal, outdoor Christmas eve gathering on the BUUF grounds at 381 E. King Street from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 24th.
You are invited to bring a candle and cookies to share (if you have them). Bring an instrument if you play! We will share a short meditation of peace and goodwill, sing carols, and enjoy each other's company in a COVID-safe manner. Please wear a mask to this event. Please stay home if you are ill* or have been exposed to someone who is ill. If you are a musician or have the tech to play music outside, please let us know. *If you are sick and would like a check-in call, please send us a private message via Facebook or email the office at booneuuoffice@gmail.com Lots of updates to BUUF's buildings and grounds are being accomplished! Above you'll see the new sign and landscaping improvements.
Other items of note include the new curb, gutters and downspout extensions. In place of the overgrown bushes and dilapidated sign, there is now a mulched bed, pitched at the proper angle to drain water away from the building (awaiting new landscaping in the spring), and our brand new BUUF sign. This is the result of a year’s worth of work by the Buildings and Grounds committee and many other BUUF volunteers. Each person who has donated their time and energy to accomplishing this transformation has acted from a place of sincere commitment to BUUF’s continued existence in the High Country. No one of us could have taken us this far alone – in working together we’ll bring BUUF to a point that visually reflects who we are - a caring, committed community. More to come soon! The Buildings and Grounds Committee has finished cleaning up the basement in the Founders House after two years of hard work.
The Boone UU Fellowship's Board of Trustees asks that we show our collective appreciation to the B&G committee by helping to maintain the basement's currently CLEAN condition. That means not placing personal property nor donated items in the basement. Anything found in the basement will be removed. Thank you for your understanding and support! |
