Interfaith Outreach

Unitarianism has been inherently multi-faith from its beginnings, and that spirit continues at Boone UU today. We cooperate closely and regularly with other faith-based organizations throughout the High Country and welcome visiting ministers and spiritual leaders from other traditions to speak from our pulpit on Sunday mornings. This openness is also reflected in our lifespan, “whole church” approach to faith development, in which learning extends beyond any single class or program. The congregation itself and the covenantal relationships we build with one another and with the wider community become part of the curriculum.

Partnership with the High Country United Church of Christ

Boone UU partners with the High Country UCC in Our Whole Lives (OWL), a program developed in a partnership between the United Church of Christ and the Unitarian Universalist Association. This comprehensive program is designed to support people in understanding relationships and sexuality at each stage of life. Here in Boone, BUUF cooperates with the High Country UCC to bring this program to our middle-school-aged kids.
