Other Opportunities for Children & Youth
Youth CONs and MountainCamp @ The Mountain
Every Fall & Spring The Mountain hosts our Southeast Regional Youth Conferences (CON for short). Youth CON is a gathering of youth from UU congregations for a weekend program filled with a variety of workshops, activities, delicious food, a safe environment and warm cozy cabins. Youth participate in all the activities, share with new friends in small get-to-know-you groups, bond during free time, and contribute to times of fun and reflection. |
These events are for all youth 3rd grade or older and must be accompanied by a parent adviser. Advisers need not be the youth's parent, but a responsible adult 21 or older from BUUF fellowship or other faith community.
Youth CONs are held in November-December and February-March. We like to take time to go in the Fall when snow is not usually an issue. For families and youth interested in participating in this wonderful UU experience, you can find more information (dates, registration, packing lists, etc.) on The Youth CON page of The Mountain website.
The Mountain Retreat & Learning Center also offer a summer camp experience called MountainCamp for 1st-12th graders.
